Ethiopia Tagel Alemayehu

Tagel, a former race circuit driver, grew up the son of a local coffee trader. After years managing a washing station in Guji, and as government export regulations relaxed, Tagel founded Olkai in 2018. Tagel and Olkai operate a half dozen washing stations in the south dotting many of the most sought-after regions for quality in Guji, Bule Hora, and Sidama.

This washed lot is comprised of Kurume & Dega varieties grown by smallholders & delivered to Tagel Alemayehu’s processing site in Goro, Hambela, Guji. 

We're tasting effervescent lemon lime soda with tangerine juiciness as well as an earl grey tea quality.
